Hey, I’m Owen
Welcome to Bay Area O. This is my little corner of the internet where I share personal stories, thoughts, and reflections as I grow as a writer. I’m still figuring out what I want to say and how I want to say it, but one of my goals is to eventually study English in college.
I’m not trying to make everything here perfect. I’m using this space to practice writing about things that actually matter to me, figure out what I think along the way, and hopefully get better at putting those thoughts into words.
What I’m into right now
Right now, a lot of my time goes toward school, photography, basketball, and cars. I’m especially into photography and have been getting more interested in car photography, whether that means taking pictures around the Bay Area or just messing around with my camera when I find something worth shooting.
You’ll probably see some of that show up here, along with stories about everyday life, basketball, school, and random thoughts that I can’t get out of my head. Sometimes it’s the little things, a conversation, a ride home, or something that happened during the day—that end up giving me the most to write about.
I’m also trying to become a better reader and writer. I want to pay more attention to how good writing works and learn how to make my own writing feel more natural and meaningful.
Why I’m writing here
Bay Area O is basically my space to learn and experiment. I want to be able to write about things honestly, even when I’m not completely sure how I feel about them yet. Not every post is going to be perfect, and that’s kind of the point.
One of my long-term goals is to study English in college and continue growing as a reader, writer, and thinker. For now, I’m just taking it one piece of writing at a time and seeing where it takes me.
